Tamara oversees the entire organization, and sits on the Partnership’s three Boards of Directors (Denver Civic Ventures, Downtown Denver Incorporated, and Downtown Denver Partnership Management Group).

Amanda Jimenez
Amanda Jimenez, Executive Assistant to the President

Amanda assists the President with scheduling and administrative responsibilities as needed. She also organizes and manages the Partnership’s three boards. Amanda also oversees the front desk position.



Communications and Resource Development

James Waddell

James is responsible for recruiting new members, and securing new sponsorships for the overall organization. James manages the Membership Committee. James oversees the Membership Coordinator position.

Sarah Neumann
Sarah Neumann, Public Relations & Communications Manager

Sarah serves as a spokesperson for the organization, and obtains exposure for DDP policy, programs and initiatives through communications to members and constituents, media outreach and an inviting web presence. Sarah manages the Downtown Hospitality Committee.

Jenny Palan
Jenny Palan, Marketing Manager

Jenny produces all DDP and BID marketing collateral, and manages the Elevate Your Urban marketing campaign and committee. She also provides marketing and project management, as needed, for specific Downtown-related events/initiatives such as the DNC and Denver Venture School.


Beth Warnick
Beth Warnick, Membership Coordinator

Beth is responsible for retaining current members, responding to their inquiries and engaging them in member activities. She is also the project manager for member forums, coordinates production of the annual member directory, and manages the membership database.



Economic Development Services

Jim Kirchheimer

Jim Kirchheimer is Director of Economic Development, primarily focusing on business retention, expansion and recruitment efforts; retail and residential development in Downtown Denver; and the Partnership’s research activities. Jim also manages the Partnership’s Economic Development Council and Downtown Denver Leadership Program.


Brian Phetteplace
Brian Phetteplace, Manager of Retail and Residential Development

Brian is engaged with Downtown residential and retail development, tracking the progress of under-construction and planned/proposed developments, and meeting with developers, owners, investors and brokers. In addition, Brian manages the Partnership’s Housing Council and produces the twice-yearly Center Yourself: LiveDowntownDenver Housing Event.


Malia Campbell

Malia seeks out opportunities for the Partnership and BID to become increasingly green--emphasizing mass transportation--and promotes this behavior to relevant audiences. Malia also helps coordinate the Partnership's Downtown Denver Leadership Program.



Downtown Environment

John Desmond
John Desmond, Vice President of Urban Planning and Environment

John manages the Downtown Environment department, and serves as the key administrator for the Downtown Denver Business Improvement District. John is currently overseeing the redevelopment of Downtown’s Tremont District.


Don Pesek
Don Pesek, BID Operations Manager

Don oversees the four contracts for flowers, trees, masonry and general maintenance in the BID. In addition, Don oversees the Downtown Service Representative positions and the overall Downtown Ambassador program.



Kate Haher
Kate Haher, Pedestrian Environment Manager

Kate manages policies and initiatives that impact the Downtown pedestrian environment, including permitting and aesthetic improvements (flowers, banners, holiday lights, etc). Kate oversees the Downtown Environment Assistant position.



Dave Ballinger

Dave works with Charlie Hunt to serve as the eyes and ears of DDP/BID on the street, enforcing regulations and working with property owners, outreach workers and ambassadors to ensure Downtown is safe, clean and vibrant.

Cassie Milestone
Cassie Milestone, Urban Planning Manager

Cassie tracks and oversees urban planning initiatives with respect to the Downtown area, including the 16th Street Plan, the 2007 Downtown Area Plan, and many more. Cassie co-manages the Transportation and Development Council.



Aylene Quale
Aylene Quale, Transportation & Special Projects Manager

Aylene tracks policies and initiatives that impact access to/from/around Downtown Denver, including Denver Union Station, FasTracks and much more. She also develops programs to incentivize individuals to use mass transit when accessing Downtown Denver. She is currently working on the development of the Community Improvement District (CID). Aylene co-manages the Transportation and Development Council.

Suzie Pittman
Suzie Pittman, Downtown Environment Assistant

Suzie manages the 16th Street Mall vending program, reviewing applications and enforcing rules and regulations. She also assists with BID administrative tasks.

 


Events

Susan Rogers Kark
Susan Rogers Kark, Vice President, Events

Susan manages the Events department which produces membership and public events including the Annual Meeting, Awards Dinner, A Taste of Colorado, 9News Parade of Lights, New Year’s Eve Fireworks, the Grand Illumination and Skyline Park events. Susan also focuses on making Downtown Denver “event friendly”, helping bring business and visitors to the area.


John Kerns
John L. Kerns, Event Manager

John manages specific areas for Taste, Parade, Fireworks and manages the event logistics for the Grand Illumination and Skyline Park Events. He also provides technical support to the entire DDP office, and manages the contracts with external technical support companies. John oversees the Event Coordinator position.



Kristen Law
Kristen Law, Event Project Manager

Kristen oversees and develops funding strategies for the Partnership’s event departments, including auctions, contests, sponsorships and more. Kristen also manages the Downtown Denver Annual Awards Jury and the Parade of Lights Strategic Funding Task Force.


Jen Cravens
Jen Cravens, Event Coordinator

Jen assists the Events department with billing, contracts and other administrative tasks. She also oversees the Playin’ in the Park children’s event held in Skyline Park each summer.

Renee Ostuni

Renee provides administrative support in accounts payable / receivable for the BID and DDP.


Claudia Gutierrez
Claudia Gutierrez, Receptionist

Claudia manages the front desk, referring calls to the appropriate staff, and managing Cash Key and FREX pass sales. She also assists staff with specific projects on an as needed basis.
