Public Workshops - February 24th & 25th, 2010

The ZGF team returned and joined representatives from Studio InSite, RTD and the Downtown Denver Partnership (DDP) to offer detailed information and collect feedback on the Mall history, planning process, the three design options, Pilot Paver Program and more. Public Meeting #3 - April 6th, 2010

Open House and Presentation

Public Meeting #3 began with a 90 minute open house with representatives from the Steering Committee, Technical Committee, RTD and the design team offering detailed information about the planning and design process. After that, the narrowed down design options were presented to the public along with furnishings recommendations. The meeting ended with a lengthy and informative Q&A session.

Public Meeting #4 - May 12th, 2010

Open House and Presentation

Public Meeting #4 began with a 90 minute open house with representatives from the Steering Committee, Technical Committee, RTD and the design team offering detailed information about the planning and design process. After that, the narrowed down design options were presented to the public along with furnishings recommendations, LoDo options, and foutain forensics report results. The meeting ended with a lengthy and informative Q&A session.

Public Meeting #5 - August 25, 2010

Open House and Presentation

The final 16th Street Plan public meeting reviewed the the contents of the previous public meetings (see above) along with the Steering Committee's final design recommendations: LoDo Option 1L and Original Mall Option 1. The Committee weighed numerous considerations, technical recommendations, and over 3,700 public feedback responses.

The Committee agreed that Option 1 most effectively solved the observed shortcomings of the Mall while supporting its many existing strengths.

The Committee also agreeed that LoDo Option 1L maintained the unique character of the LoDo district while offering more flexibility on both sides of the street in anticipation of future land uses.
