When is the Southwest Rink open?
Southwest Rink is open daily from November 23rd-February 14th. Specific hours can be found on the homepage of www.southwestrink.com. Click here to download a detailed schedule of the Rink's hours and frequently asked questions. 
 
What size skates do you have available?   We have...
Double blade youth sizes 10 – 13
Double blade junior sizes: 1 - 2
Single Blade Youth Skate sizes:  9 – 13
Single Blade Junior Skate sizes:  1 – 5
Adult Skate Sizes:  6 - 13
 
What should we bring? Every skater needs to bring socks! We suggest bringing multiple pairs, or one pair of thick, warm socks.  We also recommend gloves or mittens while skating.
 
Is there a place to lock our items up while skating?  Yes, you can rent a locker for free by checking out a key.
 
Is the Southwest Rink still open if it snows? In the case that there is a snowstorm, we may have to close the Rink or delay our opening. We will make every attempt to have it open every day.

Is parking available at Southwest Rink? There is no parking right at the Southwest Rink; however there are 3 parking garages located within walking distance.

 All three garages enter from Lawrence between 15th and 17th.
 
What type of payment does the Southwest Rink accept? We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover, as well as cash and checks. Checks can be made out to “American Outdoor Skating Centers.”
 
How much does it cost to skate? Guests can rent skates for $2.00, or bring your own pair and skate for free! Kids 12 and under skate for free every Sunday.
 
Do you offer discounts for large groups? We do not provide discounts for large groups, but please contact us at southwestrink@downtowndenver.com and we will be happy to work with you to create a perfect skating experience.

Do you offer Learn to Skate? Yes! Learn to Skate is offered every Wednesday from 11 am-12 pm and every Saturday 8 am-10 am. Special Learn to Skate hours will also be offered during the holiday break.
 
Can we rent the Southwest Rink for a private event? The Southwest Rink is a public skating rink open daily from November 23rd to February 14th, therefore there is limited availability for private events. If you wish to host a private event please send your inquiry to southwestrink@downtowndenver.com and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please note that private events can only be held outside of normal operating hours.
 
Do we have to sign a waiver? Every skater must put on a wristband waiving liability before taking the ice.
 
Wristband language reads as:
 
“ASSUMPTION OF RISK. Ice skating is an active sport with significant inherent risks of injury. As such, I freely agree to assume and accept any and all known and unknown risks of injury while skating, and agree to release both the operator and all those associated with the facility from any and all liability for any loss, damage, and/or injury that I may suffer while skating from any cause whatsoever, including NEGLIGENCE. By wearing this wristband, I am agreeing to be bound by its terms.”
