Downtown Denver Leadership Program

2004 Project Overview:
The 2004 Emerging Leaders Program class was charged with creating the framework, including strategic recommendations, that would identify the resources and action steps necessary to have Denver identified as the place for the formation of new business because the City's characteristics support and encourage innovation, entrepreneurship and business expansion.

The class identified the concept of a central information clearinghouse as being the most important element in creating and assisting start-up and expanding companies. As a result, the Partnership collaborated with the City's Office of Small Business Development in the creation of the Business Assistance Center & Concierge Service, a resource that has worked with over 2,700 clients since January of 2005.
