The DDLP project for 2006 looked at one aspect of the 2007 Downtown Area Plan, specifically the connectivity issues between Downtown Denver and the Auraria Higher Education Campus.
The new Downtown Area Plan (DAP) will provide an updated vision, goals and recommendations for Downtown, replacing the 1986 Downtown Area Plan and providing more specificity to the Blueprint Denver Downtown area of change. The DAP will synthesize and coordinate the goals of relevant small area plans by incorporating them into a larger vision of Downtown. This 2007 Plan will build on existing natural, cultural, social and physical assets and will organize them to work together, serving as a benchmark for thousands of public and private decisions that affect the form and function of Downtown Denver.
