Overnight and Long-term Parking

For those who are planning to park Downtown overnight, whether staying in a hotel or as a guest of a Downtown resident, or for those who are leaving from Downtown for an extended trip, there are several parking options to accommodate these needs.

Overnight Parking
Downtown hotels have parking available for their guests. If you are staying with friends Downtown, or are looking to a cheaper alternative to your hotel's parking, there are several overnight parking options in Downtown. Most lots will offer some form of overnight parking. This will likely be included in the evening/nighttime rate posted on the rate sign. Many overnight rates end at 6am, after which time you will either receive a ticket or will have to pay an additional next day's rate as well. There are some lots that allow overnight parkers to stay until 7 or 8 am at no additional charge. These lots include the following surface lots run by Central-Allright: Both lots in front of Union Station, the lot off of Curtis after 17th, the lot on Welton after 18th, the lot across from the convention center entered off of Stout after 14th, and the lot entered off of Wazee after 18th Street, among others.

To find out the policies of other lots or garages regarding overnight parking, contact the operator of the lot directly. Click here to view parking operator contact information.

When parking for the night in a garage, make sure that you are aware of the garage hours. Some garages are not manned during certain hours and you will be unable to exit the garage during these times. Hours should be posted near the garage entrance. Be sure not to leave your car parked in the street overnight, or it will be ticketed and/or towed.

Long Term Parking
Persons leaving from Downtown for extended trips (on Amtrack, Greyhound, etc.) should make prior arrangements for long-term vehicle parking. The lots in front of Union Station are often used by Amtrack passengers. Persons wishing to park in these lots for an extended period should contact Central Parking at 303-893-9402 prior to their trip to arrange for advance payment of parking fees for the days you will be gone. Similar arrangements can be made at the Greyhound station and with various other parking operators in Downtown.

RTD park-n-Ride lots also offer an inexpensive option for persons looking for long term parking (less than 14 days). Five RTD light rail lines and nearly 60 buses feed into Downtown, many from area park-n-Rides. For a list of RTD park-n-Ride locations, please click here.
