Taxis offer the option of getting to and from Downtown to other parts of the metro area, or as a way to visit other metro tourist attractions without renting a car. There are three major taxi companies serving Downtown Denver. The rates listed below are from August 2007.
Freedom Cab
303.444.4444 - $1.80 flag charge, plus $1.80/mile and $.40 per extra passenger.
Metro Taxi
303.333.3333 - $3.35 flag charge, plus $2.00/mile and no charge for extra passengers.
Yellow Cab
303.777.7777 - $2.50 flag charge, plus $2.00/mile and $1.00 per extra passenger.
