Fireworks Details
Welcome the arrival of 2009 with the New Year’s Eve Fireworks Downtown! The first show, at 9:00 pm will entertain families and others looking for an early celebration, while the second show officially marks the start of the New Year at midnight. The two fireworks programs are identical, and both are launched simultaneously from dual sites along the 16th Street Mall. The New Year's Eve Fireworks Downtown are co-sponsored by Downtown Denver Partnership and VISIT DENVER, with support from the Downtown Denver Business Improvement District and the City & County of Denver. The event is produced by Downtown Denver Events, Inc.
You can view the fireworks anywhere along the 16th Street Mall.
Transportation Options:
Please note, between 8 pm and 1 am, RTD light rail trains will not cross the 16th Street Mall. The 16th Street Mall Ride shuttles will stop temporarily during the two fireworks shows. For more information on transit changes, and alternative transit options, please click here.

As part of our New Year’s Eve Fireworks event, we would like to invite you to
