Summer in the city is here and the 16th Street Mall is blooming with activity. The new Garden Block is a mini oasis on the 16th Street Mall that creates a unique environment from Champa to Curtis Streets. Through the installation of various small gardens similar to those featured at the Denver Botanic Gardens, the 16th Street Mall now has a living block that creates a place for visitors to come together, be inspired and enjoy the urban landscape.
Sponsored by the Downtown Denver Business Improvement District, Denver Botanic Gardens, Bellco Credit Union and CO Garden & Home Show, the Downtown Denver Garden Block will add additional features throughout the summer such as tables and chairs, a library offering books and games and weekly lunchtime events. Visitors will have access to Downtown’s new wifi hotspot with service provided by Forethought.net.
