In 2021, the Downtown Denver Partnership is recognizing both our traditional Award nominees as well as those that exemplified excellence in COVID-19 community response.

Learn how the below finalists have been doing just that, and reserve your tickets to celebrate them with us outdoors on the McGregor Square Plaza.

A first of its kind in Denver, Buell Public Media Center offers an innovative hub for public-facing media services located in Arapahoe Square. A commitment to creating a more inclusive space for media in our center city is what makes the Buell Public Media Center a 2020 finalist.

With funds raised from individuals and organizations, Feed the Frontlines Denver partnered with locally-owned center city restaurants Leven Deli, Just BE Kitchen, Work & Class, and Snooze, an A.M. Eatery, to provide over 8,000 meals to frontline workers across the city. We are happy to recognize Feed the Frontlines Denver as a 2020 finalist.

Amidst the pandemic, Urban Villages partnered with the City and County of Denver to close Larimer Square to vehicular traffic in order to accommodate more outdoor dining, create a comfortable space for people to gather, and support its businesses. The space was energized with lighting, art, and nature, and offered al fresco events that reconnected our community when it needed it most. Larimer Square is an admirable 2020 finalist.

Platte Fifteen made its mark as the first commercial project to utilize cross-laminated timber in Denver. On the corner of 15th and Platte, this mixed-use building combines commercial office space and ground-floor retail, while honoring the historic aesthetic of Platte Street. With a sustainable future in mind, developers worked with the City and County of Denver to use the development as an example of how to adopt green building practices. We are honored to have Platte Fifteen as a 2020 finalist.

In 2020, Redline Contemporary Art Center created the Colorado Artist/Music Relief Fund. Acting as a bridge between artists, foundations, corporate, and government entities to provide resources quickly and efficiently to our artist and creative community. Over $12MM was distributed to 1,000+ artists, musicians, and crew members, as well as 100+ music venues and arts organizations. We are grateful to honor Redline Contemporary Art Center as a 2020 finalist.
