Supporting our Community this Colorado Gives Day
Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. Community First Foundation and First Bank are proud to partner to power the day through ColoradoGives.org. When you use the site to donate to participating nonprofits, your donation is boosted by the $1 Million Incentive Fund and counts towards prizes for nonprofits.
This Colorado Giving Day, we urge you to give what you can in support of those making a difference in our community in the spirit of generosity. As you consider giving back this Colorado Gives Day, here are several organizations and efforts we’d like to highlight:
Downtown Denver Partnership’s Public Events
With each community event we organize, it is our single purpose to bring people to downtown for a community event and our mission to enhance the vitality of Downtown Denver and to celebrate, encourage, foster and promote cultural diversity, community pride and appreciation for the arts.
Civic Center Conservancy
Through culture-driven community-building and creative urban place-making, the Civic Center Conservancy works to revitalize downtown Denver’s Civic Center Park — elevating and sustaining the National Historic Landmark as a vibrant and iconic cultural and community hub that contributes to tourism, economic vitality, cultural vibrancy, quality-of-life and civic pride.
Colorado Healing Fund
In the aftermath of mass violence, victims need immediate and long-term support. The Colorado Healing Fund provides a secure way for the public to donate to victims of these tragedies. We work with fellow victim service partners to identify victim needs and fill the gaps in financial resources.
Denver Rescue Mission
The Denver Rescue Mission is committed to helping people who are experiencing homelessness and addiction in our city change their lives. Thanks to the support of the community, the Denver Rescue Mission meets needs through emergency services, rehabilitation, transitional programs, and community outreach.
Urban Peak is the only non-profit organization in Denver that provides a full convergence of services for youth ages 15 through 24 experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless. All Colorado youth should have safe housing, supportive relationships and the opportunity for success.
Mile High United Way
Mile High United Way believes every person that calls Colorado home deserves the opportunity to thrive. With your gift today, you can help individuals and families in the most under-resourced neighborhoods of Metro Denver find safety and stability. Thank you for your critical support.
The Commons on Champa
Entrepreneurship is key to an economically thriving, resilient city. The Commons on Champa supports thousands of budding entrepreneurs each year – many of whom represent traditionally underserved populations – who are innovating for the future. Your contribution to The Commons will help support Denver’s next generation of leaders. |
At the Downtown Denver Partnership, we say: “Every day is your chance to make this city a better place.” This sentiment rings true for us now more than ever. No matter how you choose to give back this Colorado Gives Day and this holiday season, we thank you for your generosity in helping to lift our community up in these times of need.
