Volunteer with us this Wednesday & Friday
Tens of thousands continue to protest over the senseless death of George Floyd. We stand with the individuals who demonstrated their outrage and calls for change in a peaceful manner.
However, our city continues to grapple with significant damage, and today, the Downtown Denver Partnership is calling on our fellow community members to donate your time to clean up our city. Now is our time to find ways to offer support and send a message of love and hope in the face of hardship.
We invite you to volunteer with us this Wednesday, June 3rd and Friday, June 5th. We’ll be picking up debris, removing graffiti, passing out water to workers making repairs in the heat, and beautifying storefronts. Meet in Skyline Park (on Arapahoe Street between 16th & 17th) beginning at 7 a.m. to get a volunteer assignment and pick up supplies.
- How you’ll be helping: let’s come together to collect trash, remove graffiti, and support our downtown businesses. The Downtown Denver Business Improvement District (BID) team will assess the needs and direct you to places in need of some love.
- What you’ll need: be sure to wear your mask (and practice social distancing). If possible, please bring along gloves and/or trash bags.
- What else you should know: the BID team will have done a first sweep, which will include removing any potentially dangerous substances from surfaces. Above all, we’re committed to your health and safety, and that of our entire community.
If you are a downtown property owner or building manager in need of assistance at your building, please fill out this form to help us understand how we can best support you.
