Urban Forest Initiative Build the Canopy Grant Program

This grant program by the Downtown Denver Partnership, Downtown Denver Business Improvement District, and City and County of Denver, with funding support from private donors, has the goal of building a robust tree canopy downtown.

Apply for a grant today and help build our urban tree canopy! Downtown property owners are eligible for up to $20,000 per tree bed to enlarge and improve existing planting areas or install new planting areas. Property owners may apply for a microgrant of up to $2,000 to be used towards design services to explore project and site feasibility. Property owners interested in applying for the microgrant should fill out the “Phase I Application for Design Services” found below. If design services have already been rendered, then the applicant should complete the “Phase II Project Description Form” also found below.
