The Moments of Joy along 16th Street are thoughtfully designed features that add delight to the public realm. Each Moment of Joy or Play Feature invites you to pause, take it all in, smile and play. These playful structures along with street furnishings create a welcoming spaces for relaxation and fun—bringing families, residents, visitors and workers moments of delight in the heart of downtown.

Howdy Trouty
The Cutthroat Trout, A.K.A Howdy Trouty is an icon of 16th Street. Serving as the inspiration to one of the 16th Street brand icons and featured on many 16th Street branded items.
Howdy Trouty sits in a school of Cutthroat Trout that can be played on or used as a seat.
Scattered Leaves
Step, hop and dance! Each of the bottom leaves of this play structure creates a unique sounds. Move around to compose your own outdoor symphony or take a moment of rest on one of the leaves.


Grasslands
Skip from level to level on this multi-surfaced play feature or create melodic sounds by striking the wind chimes with mallets. Scattered Leaves promises joyful experiences for all ages.

The Beehive
A large play structure modeled after a honeycomb. Designed for ages six through twelve, children can climb throughout the interior of the hive.


The Aspen Forest
This vertical play structure emulates an aspen forest. Climb up the base of the aspen to enter into the "nest", a cool hang out spot to watch 16th Street go by. This play structure is intended for children 6 and older and is not recommended for anyone taller than 5 feet.
Sound Discs
Located in Glenarm Plaza, these sound discs are perfect for secret communication. Stand facing one disc and speak or whisper towards it. Your voice will travel to the person listening at the opposing disc behind you.
