$5 Downtown Parking Program Launches for Summer

The Downtown Denver Partnership is proud to join with Mayor Mike Johnston to announce that the City and County of Denver has partnered with SpotHero to launch “Mayor’s Park $5,” a first of its kind initiative that will make thousands of parking spots available in Downtown Denver for $5. The summer pilot program lasts through the end of September.

Reduced rate parking will be available from morning to late afternoon on Mondays and Fridays and every weeknight evening beginning at 4 p.m. Additionally, customers can pay $5 for 12 hours of parking on Saturdays and Sundays. Approximately 3,000 parking spots are currently available at the reduced rate, with potential to scale up to as many as 5,000 by late summer.

Those wishing to take advantage of the deal should do so by downloading the SpotHero app or using their online platform. In partnership with the Mayor’s Office, SpotHero will also offer a promo code to waive the $.99 service fee, the first of which is MILEHIGH5. The promo code is subject to availability. So as to keep the interface legible, a single icon may represent several available parking spaces at local garages.

This program would not be possible without SpotHero, which shares the City and the Partnership’s collective desire to make parking inexpensive and easy for residents and visitors alike. Additional partners include Metropolis, Interstate Parking, ParkWell, LAZ, Time Park, VPNE, and PNC.
