As the Titan Sponsor and lead producer of Colorado Startup Week, the Downtown Denver Partnership is proud to release this year’s Colorado State of Tech Report, outlining Colorado's and Denver's thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in spite of declining national trends in the startup industry.
Downtown Denver continues to be a top-tier destination for startups and established companies alike. Urban centers have long played a critical role in fostering innovation and, today, Denver's center city is home to more than 1,500 tech startups, which employ close to 7,000 people and represent roughly 13% of the downtown workforce. As companies increasingly choose Downtown Denver for its collaborative environment and access to top-tier talent, the opportunities for business growth and partnership continue to expand. This thriving ecosystem takes center stage this week as the startup community gathers for one of the largest entrepreneurial events in Colorado.
Colorado Startup Week (formerly Denver Startup Week) returns to Downtown Denver this week, bringing four days of inspiring keynotes, hands-on workshops, live demos, and networking opportunities including more than 200 community events across the city. All Main Stage presentations and track sessions at Colorado Startup Week headquarters are taking place at 1900 Lawrence, a newly completed, 700K square-foot Class-A office tower in the heart of downtown.
"We are thrilled to welcome thousands of visionary entrepreneurs, founders, and leaders to Downtown Denver, creating opportunities for meaningful connections and shared inspiration as we celebrate the very essence of entrepreneurship with this free event," said Kourtny Garrett, President and CEO of the Downtown Denver Partnership. "Colorado Startup Week embodies the authentic innovation and entrepreneurial spirit that define our Denver and Colorado business community, and we can't wait for attendees to learn, engage, and experience that momentum firsthand."
This year's event features four powerful Tracks: Ignite, Create, Operate, and Grow, each one designed to guide entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey. And with the expansion of Startup Week beyond Denver this year, attendees will hear from new and exciting voices from Boulder, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Golden, Pueblo, the Western Slope, and beyond.
Colorado Startup Week is free to attend. To learn more about what Colorado Startup Week has planned this year, visit www.costartupweek.com.
