Colorado is turning 150 this year, and Downtown Denver is the place to celebrate! On August 1, venues across the city are hosting free festivals, live music, food, art, and more. Here's where to find the celebration Downtown:
July 31, 5–10 p.m. | Civic Center Park
Kick things off a day early at Civic Center NIGHT MARKET: Homegrown Colorado, an evening toasting both America's 250th and Colorado's 150th birthdays with the Centennial State's best homegrown products.
August 1, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. | History Colorado Center, Golden Triangle
History Colorado kicks off the big day with a free pancake breakfast and a sing-along featuring special guest Isaac Slade of The Fray. Throughout the morning, the Golden Triangle Creative District comes alive with a stage, an artisan market, gold panning, story hour, and hands-on history and archaeology activities.
August 1, 11 a.m. | Glenarm Plaza
Top local skaters go head-to-head in this open jam ledge skate contest, battling for cash prizes including best trick and judges' choice.
August 1, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. | Clyfford Still Museum
The Clyfford Still Museum has added a special pay-what-you-wish day to honor Colorado's 150th birthday. Enjoy a free sensory experience by Spun Out featuring music, tea, and cotton candy, plus a free architecture tour.
August 1, 12–6 p.m. | Commons Park
150 Colorado makers, one for every year, fill Commons Park for one afternoon. Four homegrown bands hit the main stage back to back, with local-celebrity hosts, food trucks, and a full bar rounding out the day. Free and for all ages.
August 1, 12–10 p.m. | McGregor Square
McGregor Square delivers a full day of live music, local entertainment, interactive fun, and exclusive Colorado 150 merch, perfect for a quick visit or an all-day downtown celebration.
August 1, 8 a.m.–11:30 p.m. | Dairy Block
Dairy Block celebrates Colorado with live music, local art, and support for Colorado-owned businesses and artists. Plus, enjoy treats and surprises tucked into every corner of the block.
August 1, 4–9 p.m. | Denver Union Station
Denver Union Station's celebration features food tastings, walking tours, live music, and dance, all benefiting the Union Station Foundation and Dana Crawford's legacy of arts, preservation, and community services.
